How to Get Around by Car in Cinque Terre
Cinque Terre Holiday: It's Not Recommended to Travel Between Villages by Car!
There is parking available near each village, but finding available spots can be challenging, even in the winter, and during weekends, parking spaces may be scarce. Furthermore, the complex terrain and travel duration make car travel inconvenient, so we highly recommend leaving your car in the parking lots in La Spezia or Levanto. You can find a list of all available parking areas with descriptions and photos on this website:

Example: The distance between Monterosso and Vernazza is just over 2 km / 1.2 miles.
By train, you can get there in 4 minutes.
By boat, it takes 10 minutes.
By car, you'll have to travel about 20 km / 12 miles in 40 minutes and then walk for another 15 minutes from the parking area (if you find a spot), so leave your car in La Spezia or Levanto!
